After the victory of Senator Haruna Manu as the sole candidate under the APC party for his reelection as senator representing Taraba Central Zone.
Yesterday, Senator Haruna Manu visited his town home Mutum Biyu to meet with supporters and grassroots mobilization. A report was shared about his visit to the APC primary election venue held in Kachlla Primary School.
On his arrival in the town the Youth of the popular community Jantaro demonstrated their non-support for his reelection to the Senate angrily shouting “ Bamu yi Bamu yi ” in Hausa, meaning “ We are not with you ”.
The youth stood on the federal road with Pascal writing " We needed change in the central Zone, ” the complaint about his failure to fulfill campaign promise and challenge him being in power for a long time without making any developments in the town.
Our Correspondent which was at the scene reported the Clashes Between the Jantaro Youth and Senator Haruna Manu's supporters after the senator was escorted back to Jalingo. In response to the Jantaro Youth's demonstration angrily exchanged stones and sticks on the main road.
It was a Swift intervention by the Nigerian police force that calmed the situation and maintained peace in the community between the youths.
