The 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) was held in Lagos, Nigeria 09 May 2026, bringing together some of the biggest stars in African entertainment for a night of glamour, celebration, and recognition of outstanding achievements in film and television.

The prestigious award ceremony honored actors, filmmakers, producers, and content creators who have made significant contributions to the African entertainment industry over the past year.

One of the biggest winners of the night was My Father’s Shadow, which secured major awards including Best Movie and Best Director. Popular actress Linda Ejiofor also made headlines after winning two major acting awards.
