Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has outlined the what he described as significant strides made by his administration, revealing that no fewer than 414 roads have been constructed and rehabilitated across the state since he assumed office.

Speaking during a recent briefing, the governor emphasized that his government has prioritized infrastructure development as a key driver of economic growth and improved living standards. According to him, the extensive road projects span both urban and rural communities, easing transportation challenges, boosting trade, and opening up previously underserved areas.

Otti also disclosed that his administration has successfully reduced Abia State’s debt profile by 60 percent within three years. He attributed this achievement to prudent financial management, transparency in governance, and deliberate efforts to block revenue leakages.

The governor explained that the debt reduction has created more fiscal space for the government to invest in critical sectors such as healthcare, education, and security. He noted that the improved financial position of the state has enhanced investor confidence and positioned Abia as an emerging destination for business and development.
Highlighting his administration’s broader vision, Otti reiterated his commitment to transforming Abia into a modern, economically viable state. He assured residents that ongoing projects would be completed and new initiatives introduced to sustain the pace of development.

The governor further called on citizens to continue supporting government policies, stressing that collective effort is essential to achieving long-term progress and stability in the state.
