Today marks the launch of Gudies Vibes, a new record label with a heart for the undiscovered. Its founder, Gabriel Hase Isiwele, isn't your typical executive — he's a dancer, DJ, actor, and cinematographer whose winding journey from Nigeria to Brazil is the very reason this label exists.

“So many artists have the spark, but they need someone to help them build the fire,” Gabriel says. “Gudies Vibes is that for me — the chance I wanted when I was younger, now given to others.”

From Benin City to São Paulo — a creative resilience

Gabriel's story reads like a map of creative resilience. He first caught the eye of his Benin City community as a kid, mastering breakdance moves from VHS tapes and performing at local events. That early passion led him to form the popular dance group, The Electorals, and later to the nightclubs of Lagos as a DJ. He also worked in front of and behind the camera — acting in Nollywood films and engineering soundtracks.

Detours and rebuilds — the road to Brazil

Not everything came easy. When academics suffered and opportunities receded, Gabriel rebuilt more than once. A failed U.S. visa was a turning point — it led him to Brazil, a detour that became a new home. In São Paulo he restarted: studying film, working on commercials for brands like Guinness and Reebok, and landing roles in Brazilian television. Each step sharpened his eye for storytelling and for the kind of support emerging artists need.

The Lost 3ribe and the label's mission

The final push for Gudies Vibes came from Gabriel's own band, The Lost 3ribe. They made outstanding music but, without the right backing, it never reached the audience it deserved. That experience crystallized his mission: not merely to succeed as an artist, but to become the guide other artists need.

Gudies Vibes is built on that spirit. It understands hustle, cultural shifts, and the pure love of creation that defines a true artist. The label will focus on artist development, visual storytelling, and cross-cultural collaborations — a bridge from streets and nightclubs to film sets and international stages.
