SOMETIMES, WHAT YOU THINK IS REJECTION IS ACTUALLY GOD'S REDIRECTION.
I want to share a story about someone I know very well. His name is Stanley.
Some years ago, Stanley was in a relationship with a lady he genuinely hoped to settle down with. But at that time, life was not yet kind to him financially. He was still trying to find his feet, build his career, and figure out his future.
Then, something painful happened.
The lady left.
She met another man whom she considered a better option at that time, and she chose to move on with him.
Honestly, it was painful.
Those of us who knew Stanley felt bad for him. It seemed like he had been left stranded at a time when he was already struggling to make something out of his life. We wondered what the future held for him.
But there was something we didn't know then...
We had only seen one chapter of his life. We had not seen the whole story.
Stanley picked himself up.
He travelled to Abuja in search of greener pastures and began working with a real estate company. He kept pushing. He kept growing. He kept becoming a better version of himself.
And then, last Saturday, something beautiful happened.
Stanley got married.
As I watched him begin this new chapter, I couldn't help but look back at where he was years ago and where he is today.
The man who once felt rejected has grown.
The man who once seemed stranded has found his direction.
The man who once lost someone he thought he would settle with has now found someone to build a beautiful future with.
And suddenly, I began to understand something:
Not every loss is a loss.
Sometimes, the person who walks away is unknowingly making room for something better.
Sometimes, the door that closes is protecting you from a future you cannot yet see.
Sometimes, what breaks your heart today is preparing you for a blessing you could never have imagined.
To every young person reading this who has ever been rejected, abandoned, disappointed, or left behind:
Please don't give up on yourself.
Don't let one person's decision make you question your worth.
Don't think your life is over because someone chose someone else.
Don't allow heartbreak to convince you that you will never find love again.
And please, don't rush into bitterness.
Work on yourself.
Build your life.
Pursue your dreams.
Grow in wisdom.
Trust God.
Your current situation is not the final chapter of your life.
When Stanley was left, we thought we knew what his future would look like.
We were wrong.
Today, he is happily married, more established, more experienced, and living a life that reminds me that we should never judge the future by the pain of the present.
Life is strange.
The person you are crying over today may not be the person you were meant to spend your tomorrow with.
The rejection you are bitter about today may be the very thing that pushes you toward your destiny.
So, dear young person, when someone leaves you, let them go with dignity.
Cry if you must.
Heal if you need to.
But don't stop living.
Don't stop growing.
Don't stop believing.
Because sometimes, years later, you will look back and say:
"Thank God that relationship didn't work out."
And you will finally understand that what you thought was the end...
was actually the beginning of something much better.
Congratulations, Stanley, on this beautiful new chapter of your life. ❤️
May your marriage be filled with love, peace, friendship, understanding, and lasting happiness.
And may your story remind someone today that rejection is not the end of the road. Sometimes, it is simply God's way of redirecting you to where you truly belong.
I hope you are Inspired.
